Comfort Zone Be Gone
When is the last time to you took a risk? I mean the kind that made your heart skip a beat and your knuckles turned white because you forgot to release your grip on the imaginary safety net. Taking risk can be equated to all sorts of physical aliments including, but not limited to, nausea, vomiting, headaches, twitches, torrential sweats, irregular breathing and stress incontinence. Then to top that off, you have an assortment of referees in the background telling you to stop this nonsense because who on earth would want to feel such pain?
Well, I do. And let me tell you why. Taking risk helps me feel alive. My eyes grow wider, my mouth curves upwards with excitement and my spirit shines a little brighter. A little prouder. I find my life is limitless and great with each bold step I take. Then with each new peak I conquer the view gets more and more spectacular.
Think of the last time you took a big risk, or even little for that matter. Didn't it feel good to try? Even as babies we took risk on learning to walk. I mean that floor seemed awfully scary yet we enlisted bravery and courage to stand up anyway.
In fact our whole lives are series of risk, yet as we get older we find ourselves sitting in our comfy chair of boredom wishing we had the balls to do something more. Something great.
Taking risk can be as simple as adding a post on Facebook that shows a bit of yourself. I know for me, I have recently decided to take the risk in making YouTube videos of my teachings and posting it on YouTube and Facebook. Was this a comfortable move? Hell no! In fact doing that first video brought me almost to a panic attack until I gently talked myself out of it and thought why not try?
So now is your chance to be bold. Try something out of your comfort zone. See where it leads. I guarantee that just one fearless move will open up 10 times more doors than if you played it safe. And in truth, the world needs more of you to step forward and be a little balsey. Isn't the world far more interesting when it is full of courageous risk takers who inspire everyone else to take bigger steps?
Step wide. Step tall. But whatever you do, take that first step! It's your move,. The universe will take care of the rest.
