Music From the Divine

Music is Your Connection to the Divine

I went through a phase where I was obsessed with reading books about Near Death Experiences, or NDE.  These books helped me answer questions of the afterlife that while meditating I could feel, even if only a sliver of it.  I had such extreme moments of joy, and reading about people who went through the NDE experience, they too felt a powerful connection to everything.  I felt as though I had died too, although I'm pretty sure this experience has never happened to me.

Perhaps its because I deal with death all the time as a nurse that makes me wonder so much about the afterlife.  Or maybe when I saw that opening to the divine through my meditation practice, I craved to know more about it.

I also really connected with all of the stories about how beautiful the music was when they reached the other realm.   In Eben Alexander's book "Proof of Heaven" he talks about this music being so powerfully beautiful and was seemingly part of everything.  Other NDE books share this same experience.  Everything is connected in the afterlife.  Its often said that even music can be tasted, felt, heard and seen all at once.

I for one, feel that sense of oneness when I listen to music that touches my soul.  Its these songs, so beautifully composed,  played from the center of the heart, that I fall to my knees in grace and feel closer to God.   In fact whenever I'm needing to fast forward my meditation so I reach this state of enlightenment, I just put on one of my favorite songs and then bam!  I'm there.

I have a very good friend who introduced me to one such song.  In fact when I heard it, it felt so familiar and so divinely right, I can't help but wonder if this was my theme song in the afterlife (assuming we have one!).  Now when I listen, I instantly go to that place of higher consciousness where all of my great work is done.

We each have our preferences with music and I believe our individual taste represent how unique we all are.  But when you find something that resonates with you, use it by all means to connect you to your higher self.  Maybe, just maybe, these songs will also gift you the answers you have been wanting to find in your life.

My good friend  Ben Noble is also a very gifted sound healer.  He senses the vibrations in our bodies and when its out of whack, to him it just needs to be tuned, much like a musical instrument.   Maybe we just need to be re-tuned and then inspired to live our life to our fullest when we listen to a melody that touches our hearts.   I don't know for sure, but what I do know, when I listen to the sounds and rhythms that inspire me, I feel unbeatable, unstoppable and filled with divine joy.

So go find that perfect song, slap on some head phones and let the music take you deep into your most sacred heart.  Maybe you too will find your theme song from the afterlife.   And if your body starts to move and celebrate its rhythm, just know the angels love to see us dance.  I'm pretty sure they are dancing along with us too.

Thanks for any other excellent post. Where else may anyone get that type of info in such an ideal method of writing? I've a presentation next week, and I'm on the look for such information.
